Mary was born in 1809. Mary was the child of Alexander Breckenridge and Ann Breckenridge. Mary passed away in 1854. [1]
We have transcripts of letters from her father, Alexander Breckenridge, that indicate that she was born in Kentucky in 1809 and died in Fayette County, Kentucky in 1854. She married John Murphy around 1830, and was still with him in 1846 when Alexander wrote that they had moved from his home in Fayette County to a place 1 1/2 mile away. At that time she was already in poor health. She died in 1854. There was no other husband, and there was no mention by her father of children.
Letters written by her father to a nephew.
