Biography

This Amos Breed was born 23 Dec 1744 @ Stonington, Connecticut, the ninth child of Mary (Prentice) Breed (1706-1799) & John Breed Jr. (1700-1781) [1],[2],[3].

He married 25 Jan 1768 Lucy Randall; they had 6 children:

  1. Amos Breed (1769-1850); married Eliphael Weaver
  2. Jesse Breed (1771-1831); married 1) Hannah Randall; 2) Hannah Randall [cousins of each other]
  3. Jedediah Breed (1773-1851); married Nancy Belden
  4. Lucy (Breed) Peabody (1776-1842); married Samuel Noyes Peabody
  5. Jonas Breed (1779-1842); married Betsey Niles
  6. Elias Breed (1782-1849); married 1) Priscilla Palmer; 2) Betsey Randall

Amos Breed died 30 Mar 1785 at Stonington, Connecticut. His grave is in Breed Cemetery, Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA [4].

After his death, his widow married (2nd) Elias S. Palmer.
