Mary Breed, born 28 Jun 1697 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the fourth child of Mercy (Palmer) Breed (abt.1668-1752) & John Breed Sr (1662-1751) [1].
Note: Attribution of the middle name 'Palmer' to this person appears to be an error. It derives most probably from the banner panel of an online memorial site which probably represents her, yet the name Palmer does not appear on the depicted grave marker [2]. Among the several genealogical treatises which trace her ancestral lineage and her marriage to Daniel Brown, there is no mention of a middle name Palmer, nor of any middle name. During the period in which Mary Breed lived, middle names were rare. Probably the creator of the online grave memorial assigned the name Palmer on the presumptive basis of the surname of her mother, Mercy Palmer. Should probative evidence affirm that the middle name Palmer in association with this Mary Breed is accurate, it can be re-inserted, along with proper sourcing reference.
Mary Breed married 21 Jun 1721 in Griswold, Connecticut, Capt. Daniel Brown [3]. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Hezekiah Lord, pastor of the Church in Preston, Connecticut.
Their children were:
Mary (Breed) Brown died 20 Mar 1744. and is buried in Breed-Brown Cemetery #31, North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut [4].

I see the FamilySearch source which lists the date you show (28 Jun 1697) but the Find A Grave source you give also shows 8 Jan 1697. In the Connecticut: Vital Records (The Barbour Collection), 1630-1870, the preface lets the reader know that they were made from one person copying someone's work and that it "has not been compared with the original" and was originally done in 1918. The Barbour Collection is cited on Family Search's Wikipage about the Connecticut records. All her tombstone shows is the date of death and that she was 47 years old (born in 1697). Any idea how we could resolve this? Perhaps only list year of death and research notes?
Middle names were rare for this time period and generally when used they were the mother's maiden name. In my database the birth date matches yours but the death date matches the other profile. The Marcia Lindberg article shows the birth date you have but for death she shows 1744. It shows she married on the date you show for death- 21 Jun 1721 to Daniel Brown. Could your database (which isn't sourced) be in error? As I read Marcia's article I can see how easy it would be to overlook the year of death and go straight to the next date which is the marriage. It's kinda all grouped together.
