Biography

George Breed, born 27 Mar 1799 @ Norwich, Connecticut, was the eighth child of Lydia (Perkins) Breed (1767-1861) & Shubael Breed (1759-1840) ^[1].

George removed from Norwich in 1823 to Poland, Ohio. Two years later, went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he (George) became a merchant and importer.

He married first, 10 Sep 1825, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Anna Williams ^[2]. They had 2 children, both of whom died in early childhood ^[3]:

• Charles Breed (1826-1828)
• George Williams Breed (1829-1830)

Anna died 6 Aug 1829, three months after the birth of their second child.

George Breed married second, 08 Oct 1833, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rhoda Ogden Edwards; they had 8 children:
