According to the Breed family records, this Lucy Breed married ____ Ray [2]. The same intimation is evident from Wheeler [3], indicating that one may be simply parroting the other. Both of these sources, however, may be inaccurate, or perhaps simply truncated as to her spousal relationships. An 1850 census record places Lucy Chapman in the household of Reuben Chapman, residing at North Stonington [4], where they remained through 1870 [5],[6]. Although no specific marriage record is yet evident, probably this Lucy (Breed) was the wife of Reuben Chapman [1794 - 1882; son of Anna (York; 1762-1831) and Andrew Chapman 2nd (1754-1827)].
From the census records, these children are evident:
Albert C. Chapman, b. about 1833
Courtland Chapman, b. about 1834
Neland Chapman, b. about 1837
Lucy (Breed) Chapman died 14 Apr 1876 [7],with interment in Chapman Cemetery [8] at North Stonington. Her grave is in Chapman Cemetery, North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA [9].
