Biography

Cecil A Breeden was born September 23, 1900.^[1] Cecil was a resident of Urbandale.^[2] He ran for mayor at one point, and lost by a coin toss after the race came down to a tie.^[2] He was a member of the Urbandale City Council for four years.^[2] Cecil was a trucking contractor for years before deciding to go into hospitality.^[2]

Cecil and Dorathe operated a motel/restaurant in Ottumwa, Iowa from 1948 to about 1953, then moved to Vero Beach, Florida, where they ran a motel, as well, from about 1953 to 1955.^[2]

Cecil died of a heart attack in Vero Beach, Florida April 11, 1955, where he was living with Dorathe.^[2][1]
