The fourth child ofEPHRAIMandELLEN ROSELIA (COOK) BRICKER, born at Breslau, Ontario in 1875, was one of the originalmembers of the Kitchener-Waterloo Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. She was also amember of the Freeport Sanatorium Ladies’ Auxiliary.
In1900, at Kitchener, Ontario,GENEVA married ALFRED HARTMAN SNYDER, born at Breslau, Ontario in 1873,[ a son of] Mr.andMrs. SIMON SNYDER.
ALFREDattended Upper Canada College where he was a star footballplayer. Keenly interested in sports, he was a member of Kitchener's firstOntario Hockey Association (intermediate team), and played soccer with thefamous Ranger Club.
He enjoyed cycling, and once participated in a relay race from Windsor toKingston, Ontario. Another favorite pastime was lawn bowling, and he wasseveral times on the winning rlnk at the noted International Tourney, thenheld annually at Buffalo, New York. He was the first President of the UnionBadminton Club, and at one time President of the Grand River Country Club.One of the founders of the Waterloo Young Men's Club, he was itsFirst President, and for many years was a member of the Kitchener-WaterlooRotary Club.
ALFREDand his brother,HERBERT, foundedSnyder's Ltd., awell-known furniture manufacturing concern.ALFREDwas Vice-President of this Company,and his brother, President.
GENEVAandALFREDwere members of the Westmount Golf andCountry Club and of the United Church.
They had four children

STUART ALFRED SNYDER (1903-1942)
MURRAY HARTMAN SNYDER (1908-1964) and
ISOBEL ELEANOR SNYDER STEADMAN (1914-1989)
ALFREDdied in1938of a heart condition, and
GENEVApassed away in1947.
Both are buried in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario

She is survived by one son:

The body is resting at the residence 89 George St., Waterloo, where thepublic funeral will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. with Rev. A.R. Cragg of FirstUnited Church officiating.
Interment will be in Woodland Mausoleum.
