Biography

Ann was the daughter of Edmund Bridges and Margaret Hart his wife.

She married Robert Alford. [1]

Robert and Ann Brydges had four recorded sons: [2]

  • Roger
  • Francis
  • Edward
  • Launcelot

In the "examination of William Seth before the Lord Great Master, the Lord Privy Seal", etc., mention is made several times of "Anne Alford of London, widow of Robert Alford, and daughter of Edmund Brydges of the Chandos family". — Cecil MSS., Part I, p. 83, etc. [2]


She died after 1546 as she was named as still living in the will of her husband Robert Alford. [3]
