Sarah (Briggs) Burt was born in 1693 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, the daughter of Thomas Briggs (1669–1746 ) and Abigail Thayer (1670–1745).^[1]

Sarah married Albert Burt, Jr. (1692-1766) about 1714 in Taunton. Their children were:
