MRS. CLARA CRULL DIES AT AGE OF 65
Death Comes After An Illness of Four Months
Mrs. Clara D. Crull, 65, died at her home at South P and 23rd streets, Sunday evening at 8:30 o'clock after an illness of four months.
She was born March 19, 1878, in Arkansas, the daughter of Winfield S. and Martha C. Holler Bright, and spent most of her life here. She married Peter Smith in 1884, who died in 1911, and later she was married to Newton Alderman, who is also deceased. on March 4, 1932, she married Riley Crull, who survives. She attended the Elwood Gospel Tabernacle.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. George McPhearson and Mrs. Bessie Grover of Elwood, one son Jesse Alderman of Elwood; three stepdaughters Mrs. Mary Musselman, Mrs. Hazel Shepard, and Mrs. Mary Shepard, all of Elwood; a stepson, Paul Crull of Tipton county; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Smith, Mrs. Fred Shrock, and Mrs. Ellen Jones, all of Elwood, and two brothers, Sam and Oliver Bright, both of Elwood. There are also ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Gospel Tabernacle Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Addie Scott, assisted by Rev. Pearl Clymer, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in City cemetery. The body was removed from the York Memorial Home to the residence this afternoon.
ERROR - Obituary states Clara married Peter Smith in 1884. The actual year of their marriage was 1894.
