Mary was born in St Pancras, London, about 1849.
In the 1851 census she is listed at 6 Little Brook Street, St Pancras, with her father George (coach maker, born in Portsmouth), mother Clarissa and brother Reuben.
In 1861 they are at 11 Bedford Place, Islington.
In 1871 they have moved to 14 St Johns Ville Road, Islington. Reuben has left home and they have three lodgers.
On 15 May 1875 Mary married Charles Bloomfield at St Anne's Church, Highgate. She is desribed as a dressmaker (though the writing is not clear).
In 1881 she and Charles are living at 29 Doynton Street, St Pancras, with their daighters Mary A, Clara and Catherine.
In 1891 they are still at the same address. The daughter 'Mary A' has probably died, as they now now have an 8 month old by the same name, and also two sons Charles and Reuben.
In 1901 they are still at the same address, Clara has left home, the others are still there, and have been joined by Elizabeth. By 1911 they are still in the same house and Alice has left home.
