Strong, 73, of here, died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 24, 1968) in Culbertson Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Dec. 7, 1967. Mrs. Strong was born Nov. 7, 1894, in Pleasant View, a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Jockish Brines. She married George W. Strong, Nov. 27, 1912 at Pleasant View. He died in 1965. Mrs. Strong was a member of the First Christian Church of Rushville, the Rushville Federation of Women, and of the Frederick Homemakers Extension Unit. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilhelm and Mrs. Catherine Upchurch; a son, Brines Strong; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of Rushville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, and a brother.
