ROSIE FAY CARDWELL SEYMOUR-Rosie Fay Cardwell, daughter of William H. and Lucressie Sprouse Britt, was born March 21, 1927, in Acorn and departed this life at 5:24 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 1996, in Cox Medical Center South at the age of 68 years and 10 months. She was united in marriage to John R. Cardwell March 12, 1957, and they made their home on a farm near Seymour. She was a retired seamstress from the H. D. Lee Company and had attended Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Anna Lou and Marlon Glenn, Rogersville , and Irene and Werner Geisler, Canada; a son and his wife, Raymond and Tereasa, Seymour; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Roy and Edith Britt, Mountain Grove; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1991; her parents; a son, Dannie; four brothers, Ray, Ben, Tom and Earl Britt; and two sisters, Emma and Gracie. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Bergman-Miller Funeral Home, Seymour, with the Revs . Roy Danels and Lyle Wrigth officiating. Burial will be in Seymour Cemetery, Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today in the funeral home.
