Nicholas Britton, son of Daniel Britton, the second, dated his will Oct. 18, 1783, which was probated at Princeton on Nov. 15, 1783. "In which he designated himself of south Brunswick, County of Middlesex, and mentioned therein , and devised to his: wife, part of his moveable estate during her widowhood; son Joseph Britton 100 pounds, a bond and lands; son Issac Britton lands and a negro boy Harry; son Nicholas Britton lands and a negro boy John; son Nathaniel Britton the homestead, a negro boy Daniel, and one bay mare; daughter Martha Armstrong 100 pounds and a bond; daughter Marcy 200 pounds, a black colt, and a negro boy James,; the money to be paid her at the age of eighteen or her marriage. Executors: sons Isaac and Nicholas Brittin.[2]
