Carrie appears in Allentown directory 1890, is a "winder" in the local silk mill, boarding at her father's address, 309 N. 9th.
1900 census Carrie and Robert RICE live on New St. in So. Bethlehem PA. He is 30 and she 26, with two sons Wm. & John H. RICE. Robert is a merchant of meat.
1910 census 26 April they are in So. Bethlehem PA on Elm St., age 40 and 36, with four children (William 13, John 10, Mark 9, Dorothy 7), occupation is unreadable plus “provisions”.
1920 census 21 January they are living at 316 Webster St. in Bethlehem City; age 49 and 46; with William 22 , John 20, Mark 19, and Hilda 9. Robert is keeper of a storage house, and John is a salesman in meat; the others are not working.
Elva Brobst’s address book (from 1930s to 1950s) shows Carrie and husband Robert RICE at 222 Broad St. in Bethlehem.
