In 1941 he drove a snazzy convertible with flourish, loved new gadgets and said he had the first car radio in Wyalusing.
Married & moved early 1940s to Elmira NY.
Sergeant in WWII, Normandy Invasion on D-Day.
Worked as office manager & credit manager with LeValley McLeod Inc. in Elmira till retirement. [2]
Built their house in Elmira Hgts when dau Sue 18 mths old, 1949; his wife Rosie still there 1998. [2]
Frequent visits to Wyalusing to visit his sister Catherine BROBST REINHART; vacationed in Adirondacks, e.g. Eagle Bay NY from 1958. [2]
Heart trouble since the 1970s, d. 1991 of sudden heart attack -- wife left him sitting in living room petting dog after family picnic at their house Father’s Day; when she returned to the room 15 minutes later, he was gone. [2]
Death
Pierson died on 18 Jun 1991 in Elmira Heights, Chemung Co, NY aged 74.
