"THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. TO THE EDITOR Sir — I wish to correct an error in the Register of January 7 re the first Presbyterian Church in Adelaide. I came into the colony on May 4, 1831. About June 1 I brought the Rev. Mr. Drummond and wife from the Old Port to a house he had taken in Adelaide, and I attended his Church so long as I remained in the town. The first place he preached in was a wooden erection made with palings, and stood about where the Railway Offices now stand. The place was occupied before Mr. Drummond had it by the Rev. Mr. Stow, as a Church. Mr. Drummond may have removed to Angas-street when Mr. Adamson arrived in September, but Mr. Drummond continued to worship in the place I have stated for some two or three months. I am, Sir, &c. JOHN BROCK. Tanunda."[1]
