Moses Valentine Brock was born 8 Jan 1848 in Harrisville, Simpson County MS to James Brock (1802-1860) and Piety Legett (born 1810, died after 1860). He was a farmer in Simpson County. He married Martha Jane Ennis(1855-1934)on 28 Aug 1873. They had the following children: Ally Martha(b 1876),Sarah Laria(b1879),William D. sr 1880-1954, John Vole 1883-1922, Joseph Richard 1885-1971, Josephine b 1888, Wrendy b1891, & Rosa b1894. The family moved to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana between 1910 and 1919. He died in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana in 1918 or 1919.^[1][2]
