Biography

Vineyard Crawford Brock was born on Jul 9, 1859 in Linn County, Oregon, to Russell Wilbur Brock (1828 - 1901) born in Tennessee, and Elvira Ann Brown Brock (1831 - 1906) born in Iowa. At the time of the 1860 census, his father was listed as a farmer in the 1860 census.

He was a 21 year old student living with his parents in Corvallis, Benton County, Oregon at the time of the 1880 census.

On November 17, 1881 Vineyard married Lily Belle Moore in Benton, Oregon. They had four children: Roy Cecil Brock (1882 - 1958) Elmer Clay Brock (1887 - 1959) Eva Lenora Brock Cowden (1893 - 1917) Lillian B Brock Allen Stidd (1899 - 1980)

In the 1900 census he is listed as an "editor and Publisher" He died on October 1, 1923 in Seattle Washington, and is buried besides his wife in Hood River, Oregon.
