George Brock performed Patriotic Service in Virginia in the American Revolution.

George Brock is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A014724.

George Brock was born in August, 1762, in Frederick county, Virginia,

He was living in Shenandoah county at the time of the American Revolutionary War, where he is found on the Tax Lists of 1782-1799. [1]

George paid "Supply Tax" in 1783, to help reduce the costs of the Revolution George is honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for his Patriotic Service as DAR Ancestor #A014724. DAR records indicate that George died before February 12, 1839, in Washington county, Indiana and that his wife's name was Catherine Zink. Applications for membership in the Society of the DAR have been made by the descendants of their daughters, Barbara Brock, who married Adam Barnett; and Mary Magdalaine [sic] Brock, who married Abraham Lefever. [2]


George was born in August 1762 in Forestville, Shenandoah, Virginia.[3][4][5]

In 1783 George (age about 20) was living in Shenandoah County, VA.[6][7]

When George was 33 he married on 13 November 1795 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.[8][9][10]

In 1799 George (age about 36) was living in Grainger County, TN.[11][12][13]

In 1805 George (age about 42) was living in Grainger County, TN.[14]

In 1810 George (age about 47) was living in Grainger County, TN.[15]

George served in the military in 1812 in United States.[16][17]

In the 1820 census George (age 58) was living in Washington, Indiana, United States.[18]

When George was 61 he married on 28 May 1824 in Washington, Indiana. UUID be3876d6-a6bd-470e-bba7-923aef7d3256.[19][20][21]

In the 1830 census George (age 67) was living in Grainger, Tennessee, USA.[22]

George died at the age of 76 in January 1839 in Monroe City, Washington, Indiana, USA.[23]

George was buried on 20 October 1863 in Salem, Washington County, Indiana, United States of America.[23]
