Metje was born before 1746. She was the daughter of Bergon Brokaw and Metje Van Wicklen. She passed away in 1772.
Page 158 260. Gilbert Bogart, son of Jacob Bogaert (249) and Ann Doremus, was born in Bucks County, Pa., about 1748, although no birth or baptismal record can be found, he is referred to in his father's will of 1777 as "my eldest son Gysbert" (Appendix-P. He attended the North-South Hampton Dutch Church, his name appearing among a list of pew holders of that church. He married (1) Metje Brokaw, daughter of Bergon Brokaw. She died at the birth of their only child, Jacob, in 1772. [1]
