Biography

Rebecca was a daughter of Gilbert Brooks and his wife Elizabeth, baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, Massachusetts, on 12 April 1657.[1]

She married Samuel Hoskins as his third wife in Taunton, Massachusetts, on 12 May 1692.[2]

Gilbert Brooks' will, dated 6 June 1695, which stated that his nine daughters were to share equally in his estate, indicated that daughter Rebecca Horskins "shall have no more of my estate having received some other things with a warming pan already."[3]

There is no record of her death.[3] She apparently died before 4 June 1702, when Samuel Hoskins married Hannah (Penniman) Hall as his fourth wife..[4] She apparently had no children, as there are no records of their births or baptisms, no children of Rebecca are mentioned in Gilbert Brooks' will or other probate and land records, and Samuel Haskins did not provide for any such children in his will."[3]

Brooks-1304 and Brooks-154 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. The erroneous information about William Manley has been removed.

Brooks-3780 and Brooks-1304 appear to represent the same person because: Details match. Brooks-1304 had some invalid parents and siblings due to some bad merges, but I'm removing that bad content.
