He was born about 1622 in Middlesex, Concord, Massachusetts
William Brooks first appeared in New England on 06 Feb 1648/49 at Springfield, Massachusetts, when he took the oath of fidelity (indicating that he was then at least 21 years of age).
William Brooks married on 18 Oct 1654 (18th day of 8th month in 1654) in Springfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts to Mary Burt. [1] She was the daughter of Ulalia (Marche) and Henry Burt. At the time Mary was recently delivered of an illegitimate child by Sgt. Samuel Wright, Jr. (who was raised as Remembrance Brooks). Together the couple has about 16 children.
William removed by 1686 to Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts where he died on 30 Oct/Dec 1688. [2]
William's parentage is not documented by any reliable source, so the parental relationship to Grace (Wheeler) and Henry Brooks was removed. At a minimum, they are related per 2006 DNA results. [17]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
Birth in Concord Massachusetts seems a little suspect considering the Pilgrims had only been in the area for 2 years with the great migration only just starting. I think the 1610 birth in England seems more likely although that makes him 25 years older than wife Mary Burt and somewhat old for a 1st marriage. Perhaps Mary was a 2nd wife??
This says that the relationship to Henry and Grace as his parents was removed, but apparently someone added them back. As far as I know, there still hasn't been any evidence found to show this.
claims William was born about 1610 in England and arrived on the ship "Speedwell" in 1635. I just found it so I don't know how accurate and/or well-searched the material is yet. So, I thought I'd pass it by you.
The "born in England" idea sounds much more plausible than being born in Concord, MA in 1922. Concord wasn't settled until 1635. I would suggest changing birthplace info from Concord to England. As for the difference in dates, since the 1622 date has no source info, it would seem that the "Brooks Family Records" has a better chance of being an accurate source.
