Biography

DNA Notes

I have long speculated that John was really the son of either David or Nicholas the younger and one of Richard III's daughters because of the Gentry "looking" yDNA his descendants both have.

It was just this summer that the Gentry sponsored Big Y test was completed and the conclusion that my speculation was almost certainly correct (given that the father could have been any Gentry descending from Nicholas and his brother Samuel both called the immigrant), but logic says must be a daughter of a Brooks that had to give up the child. Maybe it was a health reason or that she could take care of him.

I have not been sure of which daughter to put such detail in about, but it is likely Mary Brooks and Nicholas the younger.
