Biography
Louisa Brooks was born in about 1838 at Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire, the daughter of James Brooks and his wife Mary, born Mary Bussell [1] [2].
In 1851 Louisa Brooks was living in the Market Place in Henley with her parents James Henry and Mary Brooks and their children. Her age was given as 13, implying a birth date in 1837 or 1838. Her birthplace was given as Henley, Oxfordshire. She was at school [2].
