Henry George Brooks was born in 1848 at Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire, the son of James Brooks and his wife Mary, born Mary Bussell [1] [2].
In 1851 Henry George Brooks was living in the Market Place in Henley with his parents James Henry and Mary Brooks and their children. His age was given as 2, implying a birth date in 1848 or 1849. His birthplace was given as Henley, Oxfordshire [2].
