Fred Brooks was born in Marylebone, Middlesex, England.

Fred Hunter Brooks was born in 1895. He was baptised on 6 October 1895 at St Paul's Church in South Hampstead, Camden, England. He was the son of Thomas Pettinger Brooks and Caroline Victoria (Lobb) Brooks.^[1] His birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1895 in the Marylebone district of London.^[2]

Fred married Ivy (Camp) Brooks (1905 - 1987) on 11 August 1928 at Holy Trinity Church on Brondesbury Road in Kilburn, Brent, England.^[3] Their marriage was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1928 in the Willesden district of London.^[4] They had at least one son:

1. Robin Hunter Nicholas Brooks (1936-1988) born 6 January 1936^[5]

In 1939, Fred, age 44, was in the household of his wife's parents at Greens Farm, Ongar, Essex. He was a taxi driver.^[6]

Fred died in 1951. His death, aged 56, was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1951 in the Epping district of Essex.^[7]
