According to an Ancestry Tree, James siblings included Elizabeth(1804-1882), Lucy(1806-1858), Edmon(1809-1875), Mary(1809- ), Jesse Tuel(1811- ), Sarah C.(1815-1870), Susan(1817- ), Martha(1819- ), William Sutton(1821-1896), and John William(1828-1885), all with surname Brooks. (Note:John W. Brooks d. Izard Co, Ark, does not appear to be a member of the Weakley Co., Tenn. family. DNA suggest he is a son of Matthew Brooks (1789-bef.1860) instead, 2Jan2023).
According to the same Ancestry tree, James and Amanda had children Ann(1842-), Mary(1843-1917), Moriah Hannah(1845- ), Monah(1846- ), Nancy Ellen(1848-1893), William Augustus(1850-1893), James L(1851-1875), Emma Mexico(1853-1917), Louisa(1856- ), Lucy A(1859-1860), Sarah G[Sally](1864-1916) and Fanny Bradely (1866-1898), all with Surname Brooks.
