Pierce Brosnan OBE was born in Ireland.
Irish-American actor who is known for roles as James Bond in film and as Remington Steele on television.
Pierce Brosnan was born in 1953 in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. His birth was registered in 1953 in the Drogheda district.[1] [2] He is an Irish actor and film producer. He is arguably the most recognizable actor to come out of Ireland. [3]
He was the fifth actor to play secret agent James Bond in the Bond film series. He starred as Bond in four films from 1995 to 2002 - GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day.

He played Remington Steele on television. His co-star was actress Stephanie Zimbalist. He has served as an Ambassador for UNICEF Ireland since 2001.
He has been nominated for Golden Globe awards and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was named as an Officer of Order of the British Empire. He has raised money for multiple charitable causes. He also raises money for charitable causes through the sales of his paintings.
