Nancy Brown was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Brown of Fredericksburg, Spotslyvania county, Virginia. Nancy was living when Thomas Brown made his Will January 5, 1790, in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Virginia. In his Will, Thomas named Sarah as his Executrix, as well as his son-in-law Zachariah Lucas (husband of Nancy (Brown) Lucas) and their son, Fielding Lucas. Sarah and her daughter, Nancy lived in the home with Nancy's husband, Zachariah and her children. After Nancy's death, her son, Fielding was living in the house with others. In 1819, daughters of Thomas and Nancy and their husbands brought suit against the Lucas family, asking that the house be sold and the money divided among them.
