DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
This profile has the wrong father attached. It has John Sr.(1584-1662) instead of John (1630-1662) It also has the wrong mother attached, since John was the son of John and his unknown first wife. [Src: Early New England Families Sketch.]
Brown-17380 and Brown-1053 appear to represent the same person because: This was previously a rejected match, but I believe that these two profiles represent the same person. I'm running across a couple of duplicates in the Brown and Mason line. These two profiles have the same birth year, same death year, same spouse name. same father name and same son - Daniel Brown (1686-1750.) I have only just adopted the profile for Brown-1053 as it was orphaned, so I am working on gathering more information and sources, but please consider that these just might need to be merged. Thanks.
