Gilbert was born in 1905. Gilbert Brown ... He passed away in 1997. ^[1]

Gib was a very avid trapshooter, and hunter. Active in Masons, Shriners. He and his brother Bill, started Bill Brown Ford, in Livonia, Michigan..but the dealership originally came down to them from their grandfather, Elijah, and father, Mert. He stood about 5'11", and went about 210 lbs...In his younger days, he was a policeman in Pontiac, Michigan, and rose to Chief of Detectives, before going to dealership. He was a fantastic grandfather!
