Biography

Patience, child of Joshua Brown & Hannah Brown, was born on 2 April 1743 in Chester, Pennsylvania.[1]

Patience married William Morrison on 17 November 1761 in Lancaster Co., PA.[2]

Patience and William had the following children:[3]

  2. Hannah
  3. Jean
  4. John
  5. Mary
  6. William Jr. d.1826
  7. James 1762-1820
  8. Joshua 1764-1834
  9. Samuel 1785-1844

She passed away 23 Feb 1810 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. She is buried in Morrison Cemetery, Kistler, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.[3]

Research Notes

Note: RESEARCH LEAD: Patience was a descendant of James Brown, 1656-1714, a Quaker, who immigrated to America from England in 1678 and was granted 1000 acres of land in Chester county, Pennsylvania, as part of the "Penn Grant," for establishment of a colony of Friends. James Brown was a Quaker Minister and a farmer.
