Biography

Randall Brown, born 20 Jun 1783 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the ninth child of Joanna (Rogers) & Joshua Brown.

Randall Brown was a militia captain; also a farmer. He attended the Road Congregational Church. (The term 'Road' which is often used to describe this church refers to its location on the Boston Road, also known as the Post Road. This Road was the main track between New York City and Boston, which until the 20th Century was just a compacted dirt track suited for horse and wagon travel. Importantly, the Road connected most of the coastal villages through Connecticut and Massachusetts which would have been otherwise isolated. In modern times its route is approximated by U.S. Route 1.)

He married Sarah Palmer. They resided at Stonington, and had at least 6 children.

Randall Brown died 30 Dec 1887 at Stonington, Connecticut.
