John was the son of Judith and James Browne and was baptized at Charlestown March 1, 1638-9. John married Mary Woodman on 20 February 1659/1660. [1][2]

John Brown sold his house and land in Ipswich in 1678; no further trace of him has been found.[2]

According to the source that follows, which I have not further confirmed, Hannah Hubbard was the first wife of Cap. John (7) Brown, bp. Salem, Mass., 1: 3: 1642, son of Elder John (1) Brown of Salem.
