Biography

Anna Brown, b. 17 Jan 1767 @ Stonington, Connecticut, was the eighth child of Abigail (Crary) Brown (1732-1810), the second wife of Daniel Brown II (1725-1814) [1][2],[3].

She married, probably at Stonington, Connecticut, Nathan Stewart, son of Nathan & Barbara (Palmer) Stewart. [Note the typographical error in marriage date in the references; should be 1 Nov 1791] They had 7 children during the timespan through July 1805. Their first child was born in Stonington; their others were born after they had migrated to the western wilderness of Brookfield in central New York State.

Anna (Brown) Stewart died 31 May 1823 at Brookfield, New York. Her grave is in Captain Daniel Brown Cemetery, Brookfield, Madison County, New York, USA [4].
