Abigail Browne, daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Treadwell) Browne was born at Newbury, Massachusetts on April 6, 1695. [1][2]
She married by 1712, Benjamin Currier who was born at Amesbury, Massachusetts on March 27, 1688, son of Thomas and Mary (Osgood) Currier. [3][2]
In her father Joseph Brown's will, written on June 30, 1729, he left bequests to his surviving children included daughter Abigail Currier, wife of Benjamin Currier. [4]
Abigail was named in her husband's will as an heir and executrix of his estate. Benjamin Currier of Almsbury, yeoman, made his will on 16 July 1748, proved 12 September 1748, in which he named his five daughters, Mary Currier, Bette wife of Paul Sanborn of Kingston, Abigail, Sarah, and Hannah Currier; son "Gedion" Currier. He mentions that Gideon was to take special care of his aforesaid daughter Mary during the term of her natural life if it "should please God to continue in his world so as that she should be wanting: all nessesarys of life of that kind, name or nature for ever" and that her share of land to go to "Gedion" at her death. He left to his "well beloved wife" Abigail the remainder of his estate not given to his children. His wife was named sole executrix. Witnesses were Orlando Bagly, William Carns Morrill and Moses Morrill. [5][6][2]
