Representative William A. Brown of Abington, veteran of 15 years' service in the Legislature, died this morning. Representative Brown was chairman of the Public Welfare and Highways and Motor Vehicles Committee for nine years. He was appointed to the special commission on mental diseases, which made a study of the department and proposed legislation for its reorganization which was adopted. Representative Brown was born in Abington Feb. 5. 1883. An adopted son, Joseph, is in the Navy.
