Nora Catherine Brown was born July 23, 1910, in Windber, Somerset Co., Pennsylvania, the daughter of Otto Webster and Esther Mary Topper. She died Jan. 25, 2002, at the home of her son in Nicktown. She was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd G. Shank; sisters, Hazel and Mildred; and brother, William Harold Brown. Survived by her son and brother Ralph Webster Brown of Michigan and sister Thelma Louise Lewis, Florida. Member of Scalp Level Trinity Untied Methodist Church. Member of Johnstown Chapter OES, where she was first past matron. With her husband, Nora had been involved with running the family business, former Lloyd G. Shank Funeral Home, Windber.[1]
