Biography

1776 Project
Corporal Henry Brown served with 6th Pennsylvania Battalion, Continental Army during the American Revolution.
  • 1777 Rosters of Soldiers and Sailors: "Pennsylvania Artillery" Listed under Matrosses is Henry Brown of Northampton. (Matrosses were assistant gunners, or gunner's mates)[1]
  • 1778 Rosters of Soldiers and Sailors: "Sixth Pennsylvania. A return of Captain Jacob Humphrey's Company of the sixth Pennsylvania Regiment, Commanded by Colonel Josiah Harmar, Esquire, September 9, 1778." Listed is Corporal Henry Brown.[2]
