Biography

In 1949, Exie moved to Charleston, SC, with her children, where they resided at 4H Wilson St., Robert Mills Manor homes. After one year, they moved to The Projects on Nassau St., one street east of Meeting Street. They moved back to Jenkins County, Georgia, in 1951.[1]

Millen, Ga. - Mrs. Exie Brown Aycock, age 92, entered into rest Saturday, June 21, 2008, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
She was born in Jenkins County, a homemaker, and was a member of the Long Branch Church of God. Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Long Branch Church of God with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jesse M. (Linda) Aycock, Jr. of Statesboro and Dr. Bobby (Diana) Aycock of San Rafael, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy (Bill) Hamon and Shelby (Ken) Harvell of Millen, Joanne (Ken) Hammond of Statesboro, and Debbie (Ken) Fish of Greenwood, S.C.; 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in Millen.
