Robert was born in 1800. He was the son of Alexander Brown and Janet Ferguson. He passed away in 1884.
In Glasgow he was a cabinet maker and continued to build upon arrival in Renfrew District
A search of Scotland's people database yielded a list of eleven children born to Alexander Brown and Janet Ferguson all registered at the same parish (644/1) and with a commonality of witnesses. The list tied in very nicely with the details we already had on Robert and George due to their emigration to Ontario Canada in the mmid-1830's.
A third brother may have emigrated with them and remained in Montreal Quebec but we have yet to determine which one of the other brothers may have come over with them.
from The Admaston Heritage Book - "Robert remained on a property of four acres until his death in 1885, His two eldest sons set up homes in the district, on the northwest half of a block of land, lot 18 concession 5. George in the west half and Robert in the east"
