Biography

George Brown or Reynierson/Rhynearson was born on 19 November 1861 in Kentucky. He was the son of Anna Reynierson. His father is not known. ^[1][2][3][4]

When George was about 22 he married Mary Ann Adams in 1884. The couple had 4 children: John Chester Brown, Sallie Bell Brown, @I482@ and Willie Brown. Record ID Number: MH:F357^[5]

In the 1900 census George (age 38) was living in Magisterial District 5, Big South Fork, Casey, Kentucky.^[6][7]

In the 1910 census George (age 48) was living in Big South Fork, Casey, Kentucky.^[8]

In the 1920 census George (age 58) was living in Big South Fork, Casey, Kentucky.^[9]

George, son of Anna Reynierson, died (age 84) on 9 March 1946 in Casey, Kentucky, United States.^[1][10]

Research Notes

George's surname at birth is unclear. The records located have him under the name Brown, but some online trees show him also under the name Rhynearson (or related spellings such as Reynierson) - consistent with his mother's maiden name. Possibly his mother was unmarried when he was born and he had a step-father with the surname Brown. Due to the uncertain spelling of his mother's maiden name and the lack of primary sources with that surname, Brown is being used as the preferred LNAB and the other surnames are in the other last names field.
