He was born in Princeton, Illinois to Dr. and Mrs. S. G. Brown. He was predeceased by his only sibling, Loretta Brown Thomas. After graduation from Princeton High School, he attended Bradley University. During WWII he served in the U. S. Navy and Marine Corps. As a Marine he was a Corsair Fighter pilot instructor. Upon his discharge in 1946, he married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Lewis. Following his graduation from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. They and their four small children moved to Jacksonville Beach, FL, in 1953, where he opened one of the first Chiropractic offices in the area. Upon retirement he and his wife Patricia and son, Sam, made Palm Valley their home, where he died. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughters and sons-in-law: Janette and Tim Baysore, CynDee and Patrick Fekula, sons: Rocke Brown and Marie, and Sam Brown, grandchildren: Eric and Lisa Brown, Keith Showalter and Elena, Ben and Lainie Fekula, Genevieve Fekula and Vince, Mindy Baysore and Casey, Chris Baysore and Bev, and great granddaughter Jessica Brown. In keeping with his wishes there will be a private family service and his ashes will stay with his wife until her death. At that time, they will be buried together in The H. Warren Smith Cemetery in Jacksonville Beach.
