If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

And, I see you also uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a WikiTree project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? You will find it and WikiTree's other interesting projects by using the FIND link top right of most WikiTree pages, select PROJECTS from the drop down box. WikiTree's DNA project has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

If you just want to explore our site and look for information, we’re perfectly okay with that. Everything is free here and you don't need to volunteer to do some exploring. The upper right hand corner has five menus with useful links. To search for your ancestors use the 'Find' menu and click on People: Search.

Hello, looking for my Brown line in Jefferson, Emanuel, Washington, and Jenkins Counties of Georgia. We can confirm with DNA which 1860/1870 census matches, but there is no male head of household present. Additional information in census confirms that they were from NC; we many DNA matches, but nothing clear enough to confirm the name of my 3rd great-grandfather Brown, nor his wife's maiden name.
