Biography
He married Sallie Gibbs 20 Oct 1868, in Davie Co. NC. She was the daughter of says she was the daughter of George M. Gibbs of Sampson County NC, and her family moved from there to David County between 1860 and 1870.
He went into the tobacco business with his brother William L. Brown, and moved to Winston (now Winston-Salem); see William's profile for more information on this.
He is buried in Salem Cemetery in Winston-Salem NC.[1]
