SOUTH BEND - James Brown, 70, passed away Thursday in Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Tina Nieubuurt of Plymouth; son, James Brown of Mt. View, AR; sister, Jean Zimmerman of Peru, IN. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where friends may call from noon until time of services.

SOUTH BEND - James Lee Brown, 70, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, August 9, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. James was born on December 4, 1936, in Peru, IN, as the son of William and June Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents. On September 26, 1959, in Mishawaka, he married the former Betty Cook. Surviving James are his wife, Betty; a daughter, Tina (Billy) Nieubuurt of Plymouth; a son James Lee (Diana) Brown of Mt. View, AR; a granddaughter, Amber Yeager; a sister, Jean Zimmerman of Peru, IN; and several nieces and nephews. James came to the Michiana area in 1955 coming from Peru, IN. He worked as a Rubber Roller at Uniroyal for 20 years before he retired. Visitation will be on Monday, August 13, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka where funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Erv Mize officiating.
