Rebecca Louisa Brown was born on August 20, 1870, in Crawford County, Arkansas. She married Marcus Laffette London on November 3, 1889, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They had five children in 14 years. "Rebecca L. London married Marcus L. in 1888. She had five children by the time she was 26. In 1900, she was 28 years old and lived in Forest, Oklahoma with her husband, Marcus, 3 sons, and 2 daughters." (1900 United States Federal Census) She died as a young mother on August 15, 1905, in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, at the age of 34, and was buried in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.
