Biography

Florida Poteet (Brown) was enumerated as daughter (stepdaughter) at Alaculsa, Murray County, Georgia for the June 7, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1867 in Georgia and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self James D Poteet, wife Adaline Poteet, daughter (stepdaughter) Elisabeth Poteet (Brown), son (stepson) John J Poteet (Brown), son Patten W Poteet, daughter Adda E Poteet, daughter Mary M Poteet, son James Poteet and brother-in-law James M Patterson.[1]

Florida Brown wed Taylor Stafford June 14, 1885 in Murray County, Georgia.[2]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[3] Florida Jane Brown Stafford is buried at Old Summerour Methodist Church Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, USA, Plot: Line 4.[4]
