Biography

Joseph Brown was enumerated at Post Office Chestnut Gap, 980 District, Fannin County, Georgia for the July 6, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1859 in Georgia as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male George W Brown, female Fanny Brown, female Elizabeth Brown, male Dorvid Brown, female Mary Brown, female China Brown, male John Brown, male George Brown and female Fanny Brown.[1]

Joseph R. Brown is buried at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Fannin County, Georgia.[2]
